Hello everyone,

My 1984 Ski-doo Safari 377 gets about (NO JOKE) 3 miles per gallon at
best.

It starts from cold after the 3rd or 4th pull...usually. Once hot it
starts always on the 1rst pull.

Anyone have any ideas why I'm getting such bad gas mileage?

Thanks...

The only thing that comes to mind to me is check for any gas leaks. Go from
the tank out to the carb(s). Check the carb gaskets and the drain plug.
What do the plugs look like?

3 or 4 pulls from cold is also normal for both my 93's. These 377's are
usually bulletproof and I can run mine all day on a single tank of gas. The
carb would really have to be out of whack to get that bad mileage and the
engine would run like crap if it was dumping too much fuel into the engine.

Do a Google Groups search in rec.sport.snowmobile for your problem (more
people post there than here) or post your question there instead. This
group is all but dead.
