The ignition is strong, but when cold, it doesn't get adequate fuel to
the carb. Once I loosen the fuel line at the carb, crank engine, it
starts ! What am I missing....thanks in advance !

is your fuel tank vent plugged partially or completely?
or perhaps the fuel pump isn't operating at 100% capacity?
or, maybe a restricted fuel return line?
** just a few things to check.

( sounds like something is creating negative pressure [vacuum] in your fuel
delivery line to the carb )

Thanks for your help. the machine starts every time now, just cranks
longer than what I had expected as the machine is new to me. I've
been told it has a fuel enrichener instead of a choke and perhaps it
needs adjustment--any idea how to do that?
